Everyone:

Please be advised that I am considering the Berkshire Middle District Registry of Deeds a provider of essential services. Therefore, we will continue to operate to the best of our ability under the current circumstances. However; please understand that the situation is fluid and is changing, seemingly by the minute. We will continue to meet submitters at the front door for as long as this is possible. Be aware, this option may be eliminated upon a moment’s notice.

New Hours: Beginning on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, we will meet you at the front door beginning at 8:30 am until 3 pm daily. We will no longer meet anyone at the front door after 3 pm, daily for any reason. This may mean that you will not be able to pick up your recorded documents until the next business day.

Before bringing documents to the Registry front door:

  1. Please review documents carefully for errors because we cannot make corrections without your permission, and you’re no longer present while we’re recording for you.
  2. Please provide us with your cell phone number.
  3. Please make sure you discuss all matters pertaining to your documents when you call to say you’re at the door because we cannot carry-on conversations at the front door.
  4. Please be prepared to drop your documents into the basket brought to you by a registry staff member and keep a safe distance (6 feet) from registry staff member.

If you have Land Court documents, please call our office for an appointment.

As I’ve said before, recording electronically may ultimately become your only option to record. Please contact one of the companies below to be sure you can still record if we are locked out of our building without notice. If our building closes completely, we will be able to e-record; however, please understand that we will not be able to register Land Court documents nor will we be able to record plans electronically.
